4th Umberto Student Award - the Winners

Award ceremony held at Umberto User Workshop

The Umberto Student Award was awarded for the fourth time during the 14th Umberto User Workshop in St. Goar on September 29, 2009.

The award jury selected three finalists from the seven submissions receieved. Students could submit their project paper, bachelor, master or diploma thesis in which they had worked with Umberto for the award.

The winners of the 4th Umberto Student Award 2009 are

• 1st Prize:
  Manfred Zabel (HTW Berlin) for his master thesis "Exemplaric modeling of the carbon footprint of a chemical product based on a material flow analysis tool"
• 2nd Prize:
  Jessica François (INSA Toulouse) for her internship paper at CRP Henri Tudor in Luxembourg "Carbon footprint of the white, red and sparkling wines of the Domaines of Vinsmoselle"
• 3rd Prize:
  Sebastian Bogenschneider (HTW Berlin) for his project report "A Material Flow Analysis of a motor-cycle production plant with Umberto"
