Umberto Competence Center
We have cooperation agreements with selected universities and colleges with proven Umberto expertise. Umberto Competence Centers (UCCs) are institutions that use Umberto in research and teaching, and also in practical projects with industrial partners. They act as contacts for companies and other universities that deal with material flow management. They place interns and degree candidates who have Umberto skills and they participate in research and development projects specifically to adapt and extend Umberto.
Environmental Campus Birkenfeld Trier University of Applied Sciences
The Umberto Competence Center at the Trier University of Applied Sciences is located at the Institute for Applied Material Flow Management. Here, Umberto has been applied for several years.
The research projects at Trier deal with material flow analysis or life cycle assessment. The Environmental Campus acts as an intermediary between academic education and practical application to convey internships, or bachelor and master thesis.

TU Braunschweig
The Institute of Machine Tools and Production Engineering at the TU Braunschweig focusses on production efficiency. In education and research the institute relies on Umberto. The cooperation was founded in 2008.
