The right version of Umberto for each area of application

There are different versions of Umberto, each of them have been developed to meet the needs of a specific user group

The version Umberto consult is the full version with all features and components. It is designed to be used by consulting firms or large industrial companies. With Umberto consult it is possible to work for third parties and to develop business with Umberto.

Umberto academic is the same version as Umberto consult, but comes at a reduced price for univeristies and publich research institutions. It can be used in non-commercial research projects only, and does not include the right to be used in third-party consulting.

Umberto business is the version for in-house use in companies. I has all the necessary features to model production system, but lacks some of the advanced features, like Dynamic Modeling, Monte Carlo Analysis and storing of subnets to the library.

The version Umberto educ especially has been designed for educational purposes in universities and business schools. Umberto educ is suitable to impart the fundamental principles of material and energy flow analyses. It has all functions of the consult version but some restrictions in the performance: Umberto educ allows to create material flow networks with a maximum of 20 transitions per scenario with 4 hierarchies. One project can contain up to 600 materials and valuation systems can be created with 10 valuations at the most. The module library is delivered with approx. 100 modules. The component cost accounting allows to use a maximum of 10 cost types.
